in a series of books published by The Grand
Rapids Press, which chronicles the history
of Grand Rapids through the memories of its readers. Hundreds submitted their
photographs to be featured in the book,
often with corresponding stories.

Jim Davis captures the flavor of this book so
well in this excerpt from the preface. “This is
our family Scrapbook, the scrapbook of
Grand Rapids; photos of the people we were
who helped make us who we are now.”

The first volume was a limited edition printing
that sold out mere weeks after publication.
